Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #39096

On the authority of Asim Al-Ahwal, on the authority of Abdullah bin Sarjis, may God be pleased with him, he said: I said to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace: O Messenger of God, may God forgive you. He said: “And for you.” Asim said: So I said to him: I ask forgiveness for you, may God be pleased with him, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: Yes, and for you. Then he recited this verse: {And ask forgiveness for your sin, and for the believing men and believing women} ((Muhammad: 19)). ((Narrated by Muslim)..
