حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ وَقَالَ سُفْيَانُ مَرَّةً عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ تَابِعُوا بَيْنَ الْحَجِّ وَالْعُمْرَةِ فَإِنَّ مُتَابَعَةً بَيْنَهُمَا يَنْفِيَانِ الْفَقْرَ وَالذُّنُوبَ كَمَا يَنْفِي الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ.
Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Asim bin Ubayd Allah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabi’ah, he narrated on the authority of Omar, may God be pleased with him, reporting it. The Prophet, and Sufyan once said, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said, “Continue between Hajj and Umrah, for there is continuity between them.” They remove poverty and sins just as a furnace removes impurities from iron.
