Hadith #44744
حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ يَحْيَى، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ سَعِيدَ بْنَ الْمُسَيَّبِ، أَنَّ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ إِيَّاكُمْ أَنْ تَهْلِكُوا عَنْ آيَةِ الرَّجْمِ لَا نَجِدُ حَدَّيْنِ فِي كِتَابِ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ رَجَمَ وَقَدْ رَجَمْنَا.
Yahya told us, on the authority of Yahya, he said, I heard Saeed bin Al-Musayyab, that Omar, may God be pleased with him, said, “Beware of lest you perish from the verse of stoning.” We find two punishments in the Book of God: I saw the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, stoned, and we have stoned them.
