Hadith #44811
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَرِثُ الْوَلَاءَ مَنْ وَرِثَ الْمَالَ مِنْ وَالِدٍ أَوْ وَلَدٍ.
Abdullah bin Zaid told us, Ibn Lahi’ah told us, on the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, on the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him. On his authority, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: Loyalty is inherited from the one who inherits wealth from a father or son.
