Hadith #44868
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا رَبَاحُ بْنُ أَبِي مَعْرُوفٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ قَالَ لِي عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذَّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِهِ عَلَيْهِ.
Waki` narrated to us, Rabah bin Abi Marouf narrated to us, on the authority of Ibn Abi Mulaika, he heard Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with him, say: Omar, may God be pleased with him, said to me On his authority, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying that the dead person is tortured because his family weeps over him.
