Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45091

Abu Muawiyah told us, Al-Amash told us, on the authority of Saad bin Ubaidah, on the authority of Abu Abdul Rahman Al-Sulami, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sent a detachment and appointed a man from the Ansar over them. He said, “When they left, he said, he found They were charged with something. He said to them, “Didn’t the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, command you to obey me?” They said, “Yes.” He said, “Gather firewood and then He called for a fire and kindled it, then he said, “I have appointed for you that you may enter it.” Then the people decided to enter it. He said, and he said. They have a young man among them. You only fled to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, from the Fire, so do not hasten until you meet the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He commanded you to enter it, so enter. He said, “So they returned to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and informed him. He said: To them, if you had entered it, you would never have left it. Rather, obedience is in what is right.
