حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ الْقُرَظِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَدَّادِ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ لَقَّنَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَؤُلَاءِ الْكَلِمَاتِ وَأَمَرَنِي إِنْ نَزَلَ بِي كَرْبٌ أَوْ شِدَّةٌ أَنْ أَقُولَهُنَّ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ الْكَرِيمُ الْحَلِيمُ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَبَارَكَ اللَّهُ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ وَالْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ.
Yunus told us, Laith told us, on the authority of Ibn Ajlan, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ka’b al-Qurazi, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Shaddad ibn al-Had, on the authority of Abdullah Ibn Jafar, on the authority of Ali Ibn Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, taught me these words. And He commanded me, if distress or hardship befalls me, to say, “There is no god but God, the Generous, the Forbearing.” Glory be to Him, and blessed be God, Lord of the Great Throne. Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds
