Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45234

Yahya bin Adam told us, Israel told us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Hani bin Hani, and Hubayra bin Yarim, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him. May God be pleased with her, so I said, “Beware of you, your cousin.” He said, “When we came to Medina, we disputed there, Ja’far, myself, and Zayd bin Haritha.” Ja’far said. My cousin and her maternal aunt are with me, meaning Asma bint Umays. Zaid said, “My brother’s daughter,” and I said, “I took her, and she is my cousin.” He said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. As for you, O Jafar, you resemble my character and character. As for you, O Ali, you are from me and I am from you. As for you, O Zaid is our brother and our master, and the slave girl is with her maternal aunt. I said, O Messenger of God, why don’t you marry her? He said She is my foster niece.
