Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45445

Yahya bin Saeed told us, on the authority of Shu’bah, Malik bin Arfata told me, I heard Abd Khair, he said, I was with Ali, and a chair was brought. And Tawar said, “He washed his hands three times, his face three times, and his arms three times, and wiped his head.” Yahya described it, starting from the front of his head to the back. He said, “I do not know whether he removed his hand or not.” He washed his feet and then said, “Whoever likes to look at the ablution of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, then this is it.” The ablution of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. Abu Bakr al-Quta’i said: Abu Abd al-Rahman told us: Shu’bah made a mistake in this. It is only on the authority of Khalid bin Alqamah, on the authority of Abd Khair.
