Hadith #44753
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ وَجَدَ فَرَسًا كَانَ حَمَلَ عَلَيْهَا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تُبَاعُ فِي السُّوقِ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَشْتَرِيَهَا فَسَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَهَاهُ وَقَالَ لَا تَعُودَنَّ فِي صَدَقَتِكَ.
Waki` narrated to us, Hisham bin Sa`d narrated to us, on the authority of Zayd bin Aslam, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Omar, may God be pleased with him, that he found a horse that was a lamb. It was sold in the market for the sake of God. He wanted to buy it, so he asked the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he forbade him and said, “Do not return to it.” Your charity...
