حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو صَالِحٍ الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا شِهَابُ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ، حَدَّثَنِي الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ النَّخَعِيِّ، قَالَ ضَرَبَ عَلْقَمَةُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ هَذَا الْمِنْبَرَ وَقَالَ خَطَبَنَا عَلِيٌّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَلَى هَذَا الْمِنْبَرِ فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَذَكَرَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَذْكُرَ وَقَالَ إِنَّ خَيْرَ النَّاسِ كَانَ بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ ثُمَّ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ثُمَّ أَحْدَثْنَا بَعْدَهُمَا أَحْدَاثًا يَقْضِي اللَّهُ فِيهَا
Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Salih Al-Hakam bin Musa narrated to me, Shihab bin Kharash narrated to us, Al-Hajjaj bin Dinar narrated to me, on the authority of Abu Ma’shar, on the authority of Ibrahim Al-Nakha’i said: Alqamah bin Qais went to this pulpit and said: Ali, may God be pleased with him, addressed us on this pulpit, and he praised it. God praised him and mentioned what God wished for him to be mentioned and said that the best of people after the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, were Abu Bakr, then Omar. May God be pleased with them, then we narrated events after them in which God decided.
