Hadith #44870
Waki` told us, on the authority of Israel, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Amr ibn Maymun, on the authority of Omar, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was He seeks refuge from stinginess, cowardice, the torment of the grave, the disgrace of life, and the temptation of the heart. He said, “All the temptations of the heart are to die.” The man mentioned the perpetrator of the temptation, but he did not repent from it.
