حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ حُجَيَّةَ بْنَ عَدِيٍّ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ وَسَأَلَهُ رَجُلٌ عَنْ الْبَقَرَةِ، فَقَالَ عَنْ سَبْعَةٍ، وَسَأَلَهُ، عَنْ الْأَعْرَجِ، فَقَالَ إِذَا بَلَغَتْ الْمَنْسَكَ وَسُئِلَ عَنْ الْقَرَنِ، فَقَالَ لَا يَضُرُّهُ وَقَالَ عَلِيٌّ أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَسْتَشْرِفَ الْعَيْنَ وَالْأُذُنَ.
Muhammad ibn Ja`far narrated to us, Shu`bah narrated to us, on the authority of Salamah ibn Kuhail, he said, I heard Hajjayya ibn Adiyy, he said, I heard Ali ibn Abi Talib, May God be pleased with him, and a man asked him about the cow, and he said about seven, and he asked him about the lame, and he said, “When it performs the ritual.” He was asked about The horn, so he said it would not harm it. Ali said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded us to look out for the eye and the ear.
