Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45759

Muadh told us, Zuhair bin Muawiyah Abu Khaythamah told us, on the authority of Abd al-Karim al-Jazari, on the authority of Mujahid, on the authority of Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Laila, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded me to take care of his body and to give alms. With their meat, skins, and offal, and if I do not give them to the butcher, he said, “We will give him from us.” Muadh told us, Sufyan Al-Thawri told us, on the authority of Abdul Karim, on the authority of Mujahid, on the authority of Abdul Rahman bin Abi Laila, on the authority of Ali, may God be pleased with him, who said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, commanded me May God bless him and grant him peace, except that he did not say, “We will give it to him from our own hands.”
