حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ، وَأَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ ابْنِ شَدَّادٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ مَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَجْمَعُ أَبَاهُ وَأُمَّهُ لِأَحَدٍ إِلَّا لِسَعْدٍ قَالَ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ أَبَوَيْهِ لِأَحَدٍ.
Muhammad bin Ubaid narrated to us, and Abu Nu’aym narrated to us, they said, Mas’ar narrated to us, on the authority of Saad bin Ibrahim, on the authority of Ibn Shaddad, he said, “I heard Ali, may God be pleased with him.” On his authority, he said: I did not hear the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, gather his father and mother for anyone except for Saad.
