Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45788

Muhammad bin Ubaid told us, Mukhtar told us, on the authority of Abu Matar, he said, “While we were sitting with the Commander of the Faithful Ali in the mosque at Bab al-Rahba A man came and said, “Show me the ablution of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” And it was at noon, so he called for a grave and said, “Bring me.” With a jug of water, he washed his hands and face three times, and rinsed his mouth three times, and put some of his fingers in it, and sniffed his nose three times, and washed his arms three times, and wiped His head is one, so he said: the inside of them is from the face and the outside of them is from the head and his feet to the ankles are three, and his beard It rained on his chest, then he felt something after ablution. Then he said, “Where is the one who asked about the ablution of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace?” Such and such was his ablution. The Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
