Hadith #46160
وعن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال‏:‏ كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم وجيوشه إذا علو الثنايا كبروا، وإذا هبطوا سبحوا‏.‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود بإسناد صحيح‏.‏
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them both, he said: When the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and his armies ascended, they would say “Allahu Akbar,” and when they descended, they would say “Allahu Akbar.” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud with an authentic chain of transmission.)
