عن ابن عمر رضي الله عنهما قال سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ ‏ "‏من اقتنى كلبًا إلا كلب صيد أو ماشية فإنه ينقص فإنه ينقص من أجره كل يوم قيراطان‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏ وفي رواية‏:‏ ‏ ‏قيراط‏‏‏.‏
