Hadith #46593
وعن أنس رضي الله عنه أنهم انتظروا النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم ، فجاءهم قريبًا من شطر الليل فصلى بهم، يعني العشاء، قال‏:‏ ثم خطبنا فقال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ألا إن الناس قد صلوا‏.‏ ثم رقدوا، وإنكم لن تزالوا في صلاة ما انتظرتم الصلاة‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخاري‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, that they waited for the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he came to them near the middle of the night and led them in prayer, meaning the evening prayer. He said: Then he addressed us and said: “But the people have prayed, then they have fallen asleep, and you will not stop praying as long as you wait for prayer.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)
