Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46654

On the authority of Salman Al-Farsi, may God be pleased with him, who said: If you are able, do not be the first to enter the market, nor the last to leave it, for it is the battle of Satan, and in it he sets up his banner. ((It was narrated by Muslim like this)). Al-Barqani narrated it in his Sahih on the authority of Salman, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Do not be the first to enter the market, nor the last to leave it, for there are eggs of Satan and chicks in them.”
