Hadith #46883
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا زِيَادُ بْنُ مِخْرَاقٍ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي لَأَذْبَحُ الشَّاةَ فَأَرْحَمُهَا، أَوْ قَالَ: إِنِّي لَأَرْحَمُ الشَّاةَ أَنْ أَذْبَحَهَا، قَالَ: وَالشَّاةُ إِنْ رَحِمْتَهَا، رَحِمَكَ اللَّهُ مَرَّتَيْنِ.
Musaddad narrated to us, he said: Ismail bin Ibrahim narrated to us, he said: Ziyad bin Mikhraq narrated to us, on the authority of Muawiyah bin Qurra, on the authority of his father He said: A man said: O Messenger of God, I will slaughter a sheep and have mercy on it, or he said: I will have mercy on a sheep if I slaughter it. He said: And the sheep.
