Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 23/415
حَدَّثَنَا مَخْلَدُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَغْرَاءَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُبَشِّرٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، كَانَ عُمَرُ يَقُولُ لِبَنِيهِ: إِذَا أَصْبَحْتُمْ فَتَبَدَّدُوا، وَلاَ تَجْتَمِعُوا فِي دَارٍ وَاحِدَةٍ، فَإِنِّي أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَنْ تَقَاطَعُوا، أَوْ يَكُونَ بَيْنَكُمْ شَرٌّ.
Mukhlid bin Malik told us, he said: Abdul Rahman bin Mughraa told us, he said: Al-Fadl bin Mubashir told us, on the authority of Salem bin Abdullah, On the authority of his father, Omar used to say to his sons: When you wake up in the morning, disperse, and do not gather in one house, for I fear for you. Intersect, or there will be evil between you.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 23/416
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، أَنَّ وَهْبَ بْنَ كَيْسَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ، وَكَانَ وَهْبٌ أَدْرَكَ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ رَأَى رَاعِيًا وَغَنَمًا فِي مَكَانٍ قَبِيحٍ وَرَأَى مَكَانًا أَمْثَلَ مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: وَيْحَكَ، يَا رَاعِي، حَوِّلْهَا، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ: كُلُّ رَاعٍ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ.
Amr bin Khaled told us, he said: Bakr told us, on the authority of Ibn Ajlan, that Wahb bin Kaysan informed him, and Wahb had caught up with Abdullah Ibn Omar, that Ibn Omar saw a shepherd and sheep in an ugly place, and he saw a better place than it, and he said to him: Woe to you, O shepherd, change them, for I I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: Every shepherd is responsible for his flock.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 23/417
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: لَيْسَ لَنَا مَثَلُ السَّوْءِ، الْعَائِدُ فِي هِبَتِهِ، كَالْكَلْبِ يَرْجِعُ فِي قَيْئِهِ.
Abu Nu`aym told us, he said: Sufyan told us, on the authority of Ayoub, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, who said: We have no example. Badness is recurring, like a dog returning in its vomit.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 23/418
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَجَّاجِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَسْبَاطِ الْحَارِثِيُّ وَاسْمُهُ بِشْرُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: الْمُؤْمِنُ غِرٌّ كَرِيمٌ، وَالْفَاجِرُ خَبٌّ لَئِيمٌ.
Ahmad ibn al-Hajjaj narrated to us, he said: Hatim ibn Ismail narrated to us, he said: Abu al-Asbat al-Harithi, whose name is Bishr ibn Rafi’, narrated to us. On the authority of Yahya bin Abi Kathir, on the authority of Abu Salamah, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The believer is ungrateful and generous.
