Abdullah bin Salih told us, he said: Al-Layth told me, he said: Uqail told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, he said: Anas told me that he was Ibn Ten years later, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, came to Medina, and my mothers used to encourage me to serve him, so I served him for ten years, and he died. When I was twenty years old, I was the most knowledgeable of people about the hijab. The first thing that was revealed was when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, adopted Zainab bint Jahsh. He became her bride, so he called the people, and they had enough food, then they left, and a group remained with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, so they stayed for a long time. He stayed, so he got up and left and I left so that they would leave, so he walked and I walked with him, until he came to the threshold of Aisha’s room, then he thought they had left. So he returned, and I returned with him until he entered Zainab's room, when they were sitting. He returned and I returned until he reached the threshold of Aisha's room, and he thought that they had left. So he returned and I returned with him, and lo and behold, they had left. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, put a veil between me and him and lowered the veil.

Know that it is also difficult for people to be detained at your door, so I said: Yes. I asked permission to come to you three times, but I was not given permission, so I returned, and he said: From whom did you hear this? I said: I heard it from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: Have you heard from the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, something that we have not heard? If you do not bring me proof of this, I will make you a punishment. So I left until I came. A group of Ansar were sitting in the mosque, so I asked them and they said: Does anyone doubt this? So I told them what Omar said. They said: Only the youngest of us will stand with you. So Abu Sa`id al-Khudri, or Abu Masoud, stood with me to Omar, and he said: We went out with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He wanted Saad bin Ubadah, until he came to him and greeted him, but permission was not given to him. Then he said the second greeting, then the third, but he was not given permission. He was called to prayer, and he said: We have settled what we owed. Then he returned, and Sa’d caught up with him and said: O Messenger of God, by the One who sent you with the truth, you have not delivered once. Except that I am listening and responding to you, but I would like for you to extend your peace upon me and my family, so Abu Musa said: By God, if I am trustworthy in the hadith of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: Yes, but I would like to confirm it.
