حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ نَذِيرٍ قَالَ: اسْتَأْذَنَ رَجُلٌ عَلَى حُذَيْفَةَ فَاطَّلَعَ وَقَالَ: أَدْخُلُ؟ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ: أَمَّا عَيْنُكَ فَقَدْ دَخَلَتْ، وَأَمَّا اسْتُكَ فَلَمْ تَدْخُلْ.
Muhammad ibn Kathir narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Muslim ibn Nazir, who said: A man asked permission to go to Hudhayfah. So he came out and said: Shall I enter? Hudhayfah said: As for your eye, it has entered, but as for Istak, it has not entered.
