Hadith #47621
Ismail told us, he said: Malik told me, on the authority of Abdullah bin Dinar, that Abdullah bin Omar wrote to Abdul Malik bin Marwan He pledged allegiance to him, so he wrote to him: In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful, to Abdul-Malik, Commander of the Faithful, from Abdullah bin Omar: Peace be upon you, So, I praise God to you, besides whom there is no god, and I acknowledge to you my hearing and obedience according to the Sunnah of God and the Sunnah of His Messenger, as much as I am able.
