Hadith #47628
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ قَالَ‏:‏ كَتَبَ رَجُلٌ بَيْنَ يَدَيِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ‏:‏ بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ، لِفُلاَنٍ، فَنَهَاهُ ابْنُ عُمَرَ وَقَالَ‏:‏ قُلْ‏:‏ بِسْمِ اللهِ، هُوَ لَهُ‏.‏
On the authority of Ibn Aoun, on the authority of Anas ibn Sirin, he said: A man wrote in Ibn Umar’s hands: “In the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful,” to so-and-so, but Ibn Umar forbade him. And he said: Say: In the name of God, it is his.
