On the authority of Abu Attiya Al-Uqaili, he said: Malik bin Al-Huwayrith used to come to our place of prayer and speak, and one day prayer came. Abu Attiya said: So we said: For him: his chapter has advanced. He said to us: Bring a man from among you who will lead you in prayer, and I will tell you why I should not lead you in prayer. I heard the Messenger of God May God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “Whoever visits a people should not lead them, but let a man from them lead them.” It was narrated by Abu Dawud, Al-Tirmidhi and Al-Nasa’i, except that it was limited to the wording of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
