Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #48821

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: The angels attend the dead person, so if the man was righteous They said: Come out, O good soul that was in a good body. Come out, virtuous and give good tidings of a spirit and fragrance and a good Lord. Angry, she continues to be told that until she comes out, then she is taken up to heaven and it is opened for her, and it is said: Who is this? They say: So-and-so, and it is said: Welcome to the good soul that was in a good body. Enter, praiseworthy, and give good tidings of spirit and fragrance, and of a God who is not angry. It is still being said It will have that until it reaches heaven, where God is. Then, when the bad man comes, he says: Come out, you evil soul that has been in the body. The evil one, come out, Dhimimah, and give good tidings of a dove, a twilight, and another like it, pairs. She will continue to be told that until she comes out, then It will be taken up to the sky and opened for it, and it will be said: Who is this? It will be said: So-and-so, and it will be said: No welcome to the evil soul that was in the evil body. Go back, blameworthy, for the gates of heaven will not be opened for him. It is sent from heaven and then goes to the grave.” Narrated by Ibn Majah.
