Hadith #49121
وَعَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتِ الْحَارِثِ: أَنَّهَا أَعْتَقَتْ وَلِيدَةً فِي زَمَانِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ: «لَوْ أَعْطَيْتِهَا أخوالك كَانَ أعظم لأجرك»
On the authority of Maimunah bint Al-Harith: She emancipated a female child during the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and she mentioned that to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “If you had given her to your maternal uncles, your reward would have been greater.”
