Hadith #50057
وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ:
" كَانَ رجل يدائن النَّاسَ فَكَانَ يَقُولُ لِفَتَاهُ: إِذَا أَتَيْتَ مُعْسِرًا تجَاوز عَنهُ لَعَلَّ الله أَن يَتَجَاوَزُ عَنَّا قَالَ: فَلَقِيَ اللَّهَ فَتَجَاوَزَ عَنْهُ "
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said:
“He was a man who was a creditor to people, and he used to say to his young man: If you come in difficulty, you will forgive him. Perhaps God will forgive us.” He said: “So he met God and he will forgive him.”
