Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #50691

On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar: The Jews came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and mentioned to him that a man among them had committed adultery with a woman, so he said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, asked them: “What do you find in the Torah regarding stoning?” They said: We expose them and they will be flogged. He said: Abdullah bin Salam: You lied that it included stoning. So they brought the Torah and spread it, and one of them put his hand on the verse about stoning and recited what came before it. And after that, Abdullah bin Salam said: Raise your hand. He raised it, and it contained the verse of stoning. They said: You are right, O Muhammad. It contains the verse of stoning. So he ordered them The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, stoned them. And in a narration: He said: Raise your hand, and he raised it, and behold, in it appeared the verse of stoning, and he said: O Muhammad, in it there is the verse of stoning, but we kept it secret among ourselves. So he ordered them to be stoned
