On the authority of Qabisa bin Mukharif al-Hilali, who said: I carried a burden and came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, to ask him about it. He said: “Stay until the charity comes to us and we will order it for you.” Then he said: “O Qabisa, the matter is not permissible except for one of three men who carried a stretcher and it was permissible.” He has the matter until he afflicts it, then he is caught. And a man was struck by an epidemic that ravaged his wealth, so the matter was permissible for him until he afflicted a means of living or He said: A person who has had enough of his livelihood, and a man who has been afflicted by poverty, until three of his people rise up from the Hajj. A bad thing happened to someone so-and-so, and it was permissible for him. Asking until one obtains one’s livelihood, or he says, one’s livelihood, so what else is asking, O Qabisah, is unlawful, and its owner eats it unlawfully.” Narrated by Muslim
