Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52016

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “When God created Paradise, He said to Gabriel: Go and look at it, so he went and looked. To it and to what God has prepared for its people therein. Then he came and said: Oh, my Lord, by Your might, no one will hear of it unless he enters it and then surrounds it. With hardship, then he said: O Gabriel, go and look at it. So he went and looked at it, then came and said: O Lord, by Your might, I feared that no No one can enter it.” He said: “When God created the fire, He said: O Gabriel, go and look at it. So he went and looked at it and said: Oh Lord, by Your might, no one will hear of it.” Then he entered it and surrounded it with desires, then he said: O Gabriel, go and look at it. So he went and looked at it and said: Oh Lord, by Your glory, I feared that not one would remain. Unless he enters it.” Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Al-Nasa’i.
