Hadith #52216
وَعَن سَلمَة بن الْأَكْوَع أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَكَلَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِشَمَالِهِ فَقَالَ: «كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ» قَالَ: لاأستطيع. قَالَ «لَا اسْتَطَعْتَ» . مَا مَنَعَهُ إِلَّا الْكِبْرُ قا ل: فَمَا رَفعهَا إِلَى فِيهِ. رَوَاهُ مُسلم
On the authority of Salama bin Al-Akwa’, that a man ate with the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, with his left hand, and he said: “Eat with your right hand.” He said: I cannot. He said, “No, you can’t.” Nothing prevented him except pride. He said: Then he did not raise it to his mouth. Narrated by Muslim
