وَعَنْ مَعْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ مَسْرُوقًا: مَنْ آذَنَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْجِنِّ لَيْلَةَ اسْتَمَعُوا الْقُرْآنَ؟ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُوكَ يَعْنِي عَبْدَ اللَّهِ ابْن مَسْعُودٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ: آذَنَتْ بِهِمْ شَجَرَةٌ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ
On the authority of Maan bin Abdul Rahman, he said: I heard my father say: I asked Masruq: Who did the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, call in the jinn on the night they listened to the Qur’an? He said: Your father, meaning Abdullah Ibn Masoud, told me that he said: A tree called them to prayer. agreed
