Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28428

Nasr bin Ali told us, Abdul Wahhab Al-Thaqafi told us, Ayoub told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Sirin, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, the Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said May God bless him and grant him peace: “When the time approaches, the vision of the believer will hardly be false, and the most truthful of them in vision is the most truthful of them in speech and vision.” A Muslim is one of forty-six parts of prophecy, and a vision is three. A good vision is good news from God, and a vision is a sign of sadness. Satan and visions are things that a man tells himself about. If one of you sees something that he hates, let him get up and spit and not tell people about it. He said, “I love shackles when sleeping, and I hate shackles, shackles, steadfastness in religion.” He said, “And this is a good and authentic hadith.”
