Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28596

Abu Kurayb narrated to us, Ismail bin Ibrahim narrated to us, on the authority of Khalid Al-Hadha, on the authority of Abdullah bin Shaqiq, he said, I was with a group in Ilya. One of them said, “I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say, ‘He will enter Paradise through the intercession of a man from my nation, more than that of Banu Tamim.’” It was said, “O Messenger of God, except you.” He said, “Anyone.” When he got up, I asked, “Who is this?” They said, “This is Ibn Abi al-Ja```.” He said: Abu Issa, this is a good, authentic, and strange hadith. The son of Abi al-Ja`` is Abdullah, and only this one hadith is known to him.
