Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28891

Abu Kurayb told us, Abdullah bin Idris told us, and Abu Usama told us on the authority of Shu`bah, on the authority of Amr bin Murrah, on the authority of Abdullah bin Salamah, On the authority of Safwan bin Assal, he said: A Jew said to his friend, “Take us to this prophet.” Then his friend said, “Do not call a prophet.” Your hearing was fine It has four eyes. So they came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and asked him about nine clear signs. He said to them, “Do not associate anything with God.” And do not steal, nor commit adultery, nor kill any person that God has forbidden, except in a just way, and do not lead an innocent person to a person in authority to kill him. “And do not eat suhoor, do not consume usury, do not slander unlawful things, and do not flee on the day of the advance. And you, especially the Jews, must not transgress the Sabbath.” He said, so they kissed his hand and his foot and said, “We bear witness that you are a prophet.” He said, “What prevents you from following me?” They said. David prayed to his Lord that there would always be a prophet in his descendants, and we fear that if we follow you, the Jews will kill us. And in the chapter on Yazid bin Al-Aswad, Ibn Umar, and Ka’b bin Malik. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
