Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28609

Abu Bakr bin Abi Al-Nadr told us, Abu Al-Nadr told us, Abu Aqeel Al-Thaqafi told us, Abdullah bin Aqeel told us, Abdullah bin Yazid, Rabia bin Yazid and Atiya bin Qais told me, on the authority of Atiya al-Saadi, and he was one of the companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “A servant will not attain the level of being among the pious until he abandons what is harmless out of caution for what is harmless.” He said. Abu Issa, this is a good and strange hadith. We do not know it except from this perspective.
