Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28867
Hadith #28867
Ibn Abi Umar told us, Sufyan told us, on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Sahl bin Saad Al-Sa’idi, that a man looked at the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, from a hole. In the room of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and with the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was a covering with which he scratched his head. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If I had known that you were looking, I would have stabbed you in the eye with it. Indeed, permission to seek permission was only made for the sake of sight.” And on the authority of my father Hurairah. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
