Hadith #28903
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ وَزِيرٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ سُمَىٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ إِذَا عَطَسَ غَطَّى وَجْهَهُ بِيَدِهِ أَوْ بِثَوْبِهِ وَغَضَّ بِهَا صَوْتَهُ . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Muhammad ibn Wazir al-Wasiti narrated to us, Yahya ibn Sa`id narrated to us, on the authority of Muhammad ibn Ajlan, on the authority of Summai, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, When the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, sneezed, he would cover his face with his hand or his garment and muffle his voice with it. Abu Issa said this is a good hadith. True.
