Muhammad bin Amr bin Nabhan bin Safwan Al-Thaqafi Al-Basri narrated to us, Ruh bin Aslam narrated to us, Shaddad Abu Talha Al-Rasibi narrated to us, On the authority of Abu al-Wazi`, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, he said: A man said to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, O Messenger of God, by God, I love you. He said, “Look what you say.” He said, “By God, I love you.” He said, “Look what you say.” He said, “By God, I love you.” Three times, he said, “If you love me, prepare a cure for poverty, for poverty is quicker for those who love me than a flood to its end.” Nasr bin Ali told us, my father told us, on the authority of Shaddad Abu Talha, with a similar meaning. Abu Issa said: This is a good, strange hadith. Abu al-Wazi` al-Rasibi's name is Jabir ibn Amr, and he is Basra.
