Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29862

Muhammad bin Bashar told us, he said, Abd al-Wahhab al-Thaqafi told us, he said, Ayoub told us, on the authority of Abu Qilaba, on the authority of Abu al-Ash’ath al-San’ani, that Preachers, she stood up in the Levant, and among them were men from the Companions of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. The last of them stood up, a man called Murrah ibn Ka'b and said, "If it had not been for a hadith I had heard from the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, I would not have gotten up." He mentioned the temptations and approached them, so a masked man in a garment passed by and said this. On that day, I was on the right path, so I stood up to him and saw that it was Uthman ibn Affan. He said, I turned to him and said, “This.” He said, “Yes.” This is a hasan and authentic hadith. On the authority of Ibn Umar, Abdullah bin Hawwala, and Ka’b bin Ujrah.
