Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #29954

Mahmoud ibn Ghaylan narrated to us, he said, Waki’ narrated to us, he said, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Silah ibn Zufar, on the authority of Hudhayfah ibn Al-Yaman, he said, Al-Aqib and Al-Sayyid came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said, “Send a trustworthy person with us.” He said, “I will send a trustworthy person with you.” Truly, trustworthy.” Then the people looked up to her and he sent Abu Ubaidah ibn al-Jarrah, may God be pleased with him. He said, “And it was Abu Ishaq when he narrated this.” The hadith is about Silah. He said: I heard it sixty years ago. This is a good and authentic hadith. Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us. Salam bin told us. Qutayba and Abu Dawud, on the authority of Shu`bah, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, he said, Hudhayfah said, “Qalb Silah ibn Zufar is made of gold.” It was narrated on the authority of Omar and Anas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said, “Every nation has a trustee, and the trustee of this nation is Abu Ubaidah bin Al-Jarrah.”
