Jami at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30029

Mahmoud bin Ghaylan narrated to us, he said, Abu Ahmad Al-Zubayri narrated to us, he said, Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Zubaid, on the authority of Shahr bin Hawshab, on the authority of Umm Salamah, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, cloaked Al-Hasan, Al-Hussein, Ali, and Fatima, then he said, “Oh God, these are the people of my household.” And my special ones, remove uncleanness from them and purify them with a thorough purification.” Umm Salamah said, “And I am with them, O Messenger of God.” He said, “Indeed, you are well.” “This is a hasan and authentic hadith, and it is the best thing that has been narrated in this chapter.
