Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #30069

Muhammad bin Bashar narrated to us, he said, Muhammad bin Ja’far narrated to us, he said Shu’bah narrated to us, he said, I heard Qatada, narrating on the authority of Anas bin Malik, On the authority of Abu Usayd al-Sa’idi, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “The best role of the Ansar is the role of Banu al-Najjar, then the role of Banu Abd.” Al-Ashhal, then Bani Al-Harith bin Al-Khazraj, then Bani Sa’idah, and in all the houses of the Ansar there was good.” Sa’d said, “I did not see the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.” Except that He has favored us. It is said that He has favored you over many. Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith. And Abu Usayd al-Sa’idi His name is Malik bin Rabi’ah. Something like this was narrated on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. And it was narrated by Muammar on the authority of Al-Zuhri, on the authority of Abu Salamah. And Ubayd Allah bin Abdullah bin Utba, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace.
