Hadith #36553
حديث عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: لَمَّا كَانَ زَمَنَ الْحَرَّةِ، أَتَاهُ آتٍ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: إِنَّ ابْنَ حَنْظَلَةَ يُبَايِعُ النَّاسَ عَلَى الْمَوْتِ فَقَالَ: لاَ أُبَايِعُ عَلَى هذَا أَحَدًا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ
The hadith of Abdullah bin Zaid, may God be pleased with him, who said: When the time of al-Harrah came, a man came to him and said to him: Ibn Hanzalah pledges allegiance to people on death, so he said: I do not pledge allegiance on death. This is one of the people after the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.
