وحدث خلاف بينه وبين بعض الناس. فلما ذكر لعائشة رضي الله عنها قالت: يا أبا سلمة! كن حذرا من الأرض. لأن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: (من أخذ أرضاً بغير حق علق في عنقه سبعة أطنان من الأرض) (البخاري جزء 46:/13، ه: 2453، ومسلم 22/30، ه: 1612).
There was a dispute between him and some people. When it was mentioned to Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said, O Abu Salamah! Be careful of the land. Because, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “Whoever takes a piece of land unjustly, (On the Day of Resurrection) seven tons of land will be hung around his neck. (Bukhari Part 46: /13, Ha: 2453; Muslim 22/30, Ha: 1612)
