Hadith #36928
وكان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا ترك أحد الأمرين أخذ أيسرهما إذا لم يكن إثما. وبقي بعيدًا عن الخطيئة. النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم عن نفسه لم ينتقم قط. ولكن إذا انتهكت حدود الله فإنه ينتقم لإرضاء الله. (البخاري، ج 61، باب 23، حديث رقم 3560؛ مسلم ج 43، الفضائل باب 20، ه 2327).
Whenever the Prophet (peace be upon him) was given the freedom to take one of two things, he would take the easier one if it was not a sin. He stayed far away from sin. The Prophet (peace be upon him) about himself Never took revenge. But if God's boundaries were violated, he would take revenge to please God.
