وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: سَافَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ سَفَرًا فَأَقَامَ تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ يَوْمًا يُصَلِّىْ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ: فَنَحْنُ نُصَلِّىْ فِيمَا بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَ مَكَّةَ تِسْعَةَ عَشَرَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِذَا أَقَمْنَا أَكْثَرَ مِنْ ذلِكَ صَلَّيْنَا أَرْبَعًا. رَوَاهُ البُخَارِيُّ
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, traveled a journey and stayed for nineteen days, praying two rak’ahs. Ibn Abbas said: So we pray. There are nineteen rak'ahs between us and Mecca, two rak'ahs, so if we stay longer than that, we pray four. Narrated by Al-Bukhari
